The first set saw Lüneburg narrowly win 29–27 after extended play. Poitiers quickly retaliated in the second, with powerful attacks from Kevin Kobrines and Simon Magnin leading them to a 25–19 win, leveling the contest.
The pivotal third set swung in Lüneburg's favor. Facing a late 22–24 deficit, they staged a remarkable comeback, spearheaded by Ethan Champlin's critical serving run.
