Hamburg Nears Deal for Arsenal's Vieira
Hamburg is reportedly in advanced negotiations to acquire Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira for a fee of €10 million (£8.6 million).
Arsenal is keen to finalize the departure of the 26-year-old player before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
There is a prevailing sentiment at the Emirates Stadium that an agreement with the German club is likely to be reached.
Vieira spent the previous season on loan at Hamburg, where he featured in 29 Bundesliga matches and netted seven goals.
The Portuguese midfielder initially joined Arsenal from Porto in 2022 for £34 million but struggled to cement his place in the team.
He made a total of 47 appearances for Arsenal, with only five of those being starts in the Premier League.
Prior to his loan spell at Hamburg last year, Vieira was loaned back to Porto during the 2024/25 season.
