The answer to today's Wordle (#1891) is OLDEN.

Today's Wordle Bot Analysis

Every day, I consult Wordle Bot to analyze my performance. You can assess your own Wordle score by visiting the Wordle Bot.

My starting word, STORE, was reasonably effective, leaving 90 possible words. However, MELON proved to be a more strategic choice. I discovered I was down to my final word, and it took me a moment to recall it, but OLDEN was the correct answer for Wordle. A successful outcome!

Competitive Wordle Score

A tie with three correct guesses each results in 1 point for both of us. The August totals are now:

Today's Wordle Etymology

Olden — derived from Middle English "olden," based on the word "old" plus the suffix "-en." Originally meaning simply "old," it is now primarily used in the phrase "olden times," referring to former or ancient periods.
