Inter's new signing, Djed Spence, who cost 30 million euros, was discussed by Roberto De Zerbi, the Tottenham manager, in a press conference explaining the reasons for his departure from the English club.
"I am disappointed with him. I like him a lot, we have a great relationship, he is a good lad and a really important player. However, I have to respect his choice: if he wants to play 38 games, I cannot give him any guarantees, especially when we are trying to build healthy competition within the squad. As a right-back, we have one of the best players in the world. On the left, we have Udogie and Robertson, both at a very high level. If you decide not to stay at Tottenham and accept what happens, then you have to leave."
