Werner Bischof. Point of View
The exhibition 'WERNER BISCHOF. Point of view,' organized in collaboration with Magnum Photos, commemorates the 110th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Swiss photographer. It features approximately one hundred vintage photographs, alongside contact sheets and various publications, offering an in-depth exploration of his life and artistic journey.
The exhibition is structured into four distinct sections, each dedicated to a pivotal period in Bischof's prolific career: from his early photographic endeavors in Switzerland to the powerful images captured during and immediately after World War II; from his comprehensive reportages across Asia, including India, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Indochina, to his extensive travels in North and South America during the 1950s, where his life tragically ended in a car accident.
