SAM HUDDLESTON - No Panic 15s Head Coach
Coach Sam grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he played a variety of sports. He played basketball for six years, baseball for four, and volleyball six. While playing volleyball he was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart’s high school team that advanced to the PIAA state tournament twice, and was a varsity starter all four years.
Coach Sam’s coaching experience includes coaching in multiple sports. He’s had experience in coaching basketball and baseball, but most of his experience is in volleyball. He was the head coach of an 8th grade team at St. Alphonsus that won their section, and coached high school varsity volleyball for Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic on a volunteer basis.
Sam was drawn to No Panic with their emphasis on the development of the whole person and athlete, and the emphasis on the fun of the sport. He believes athletes can only reach their full potential if they can develop their whole selves, and looks to foster a team spirit that allows each athlete to be the best they can be.
Some of Sam’s hobbies include hiking, video games, and music. He loves playing games such as FIFA and Madden, and listens to lots of top 40 music. He also loves and misses his dog back home in Pittsburgh!
Outside of volleyball, Coach Sam is actively engaged with Catholic Campus Ministry at George Mason, serving a year on their executive board and serving in the community. He has also been busy academically, as he will be a senior at George Mason studying Government and International Politics. He will be graduating a year early as an Honors College student.
