My volleyball journey began while in middle school at Word of Life Academy in Springfield, Virginia. My love of the game began to shape my middle school and high school years leading me to a strong passion for the game. Upon high school graduation, I chose to enlist in the Air Force instead of pursuing a volleyball scholarship. During basic training, a back injury caused me to be released from the Air Force. Over the next 10 years I played recreational ball every chance I could while raising 2 gorgeous daughters. In 2008, I received pretty devastating news . . . a diagnoses of multiple sclerosis, changing my life forever.  The next 7 1/2 years was spent in and out of a wheelchair until 2016.  My 3rd and youngest daughter showed interest in volleyball, inspiring me to get out of a wheelchair and find my way back to the court.

Volleyball is not just a game for me but it is a way of life. My motto is “don’t give me your coaches 100%, or your teammates 100%, or even your parents 100%…Give me YOUR 100% each and every point.”
